Coastland Issues Complaint and Mandate to County on Future Efforts to Lower Flood Waters

Coastland’s “complaint” to the County!

The tireless work of your own Ocean Sands friends and neighbors, volunteering their time to work cooperatively — and round the clock — with County officials to lower rising flood water, save property, and protect the health and well-being of Ocean Sands’ residents and guests is being seen as wrongdoing by a Coastland employee.

Posted on the Corolla Stormwater FaceBook page today https://www.facebook.com/groups/1676903092596291/ is the following notice from a paid Coastland Employee who presently presides over the OSPOA Board:

“Thank you for pumping out Ocean Sands. Since, this was authorized by the Storm Water Advisory Board and not Coastland, I presume that the pumping expenses will be paid through the Storm Water District or some other means.

Also, please be sure that all the roads that you damaged are repaired and that the ocean front is restored back to the condition it was before the storm. In the future before you use any of Coastland’s property, I would appreciate it if you would call us and discuss this with us, so to make your efforts successful, but at the same time minimize any damage to our property.
